Help Photos For Circle Center Crocheted Leaf – How To Pattern Tutorial

leaf-app-1920s-grnthread-wc

I took photos of the steps for crocheting parts of the Circle Center Leaf pattern, to help with any questions that might come up as you crochet the pattern. The free pattern is available at www.sandimarshall.com/leaf-circle-center

I’m showing it here crocheted with size 10 thread, but I give an example of this same pattern made with worsted weight yarn on the pattern page. You could use either (or other materials of your choice).

circle-ctrFirst Help Photo:
In this photo, you can see the 20 double crochet of Round 1 in the very center, then the Second Round, containing double crochet stitches with a chain-3 made between each double crochet.

Round 3 is also completed in this photo, with 5 single crochet made in each of those chain-3 spaces of Round 2.

leaf-app-1920s-start-rndThe other detail of Round 3 is that there is a chain-1 made between each of the groups of 5 single crochet (each chain-1 is directly above a double crochet). These chain-1 spaces don’t show up real well in these first two photos but are there and are important when working the next round.

Second Help Photo:

This second photo shows the beginning of Round 4, with 10 chains crocheted for the start of the Round.

This photo shows you the next step in Round 4, which is to skip next 5 sc, sc in next chain-1 space (the chain-1 space is directly above a double crochet). This is the reason that the chain-1 space is important (because it makes an easily found space in which to make each single crochet that anchors each chain-10 length for Round 4).

Instead, you can help me to be able to continue to do this sort of crochet help on this site by giving the url of this photo page to others so that they may come to this site for themselves.
